Effects of Exercise Program o Functional Improve of Hemiplegic Elderly Patients

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to suggest the easy exercise program for elderly stroke patients. Then non-physiotherapist relative to medical service facilities may be able to apply in management of stroke patient¢¥s functional activity. The subjects were seventeen hemiplegic elderly patients participating in day service exercise program at Eun-Chun day care center for three months. Exercise program consisted of passive, balance, and mat exercise which was performed 30min/session, 3days/week. The effects of the exercise program ware evaluated by activity index (AI) and modified Barthel index (MBI). Exercise program could prevent stroke patient¢¥s complication and maintain their function. Further it could improved their motor ability, particularly fine movement. We believe that exercise program used this study will be utilize by non-physiotherapist in home and social service facilities.
